Difference Between RAM and ROM

Today I will teach you difference between Ram and Rom memory in computer. Before starting the tutorial we must have the knowledge of what is a memory in computer. I hope that will you really enjoy this.

An operating system memory can be viewed as a list of cell into which number can be placed or read. An operating system memory consist many millions of bytes, and it easier to measure it given a unit, it is called Kilobytes (K). One kilobyte equal to 1024 bytes and one gigabyte equal to 1024 megabyte. Computer main memory comes in two principal varieties Ram (Random Access Memory) and Rom (Read only Memory).

Random Access Memory (RAM)	Read Only Memory (ROM)
·              Ram is erased when the power to the           computer turned off.	Rom is typically used to store the computer’s initial startup instruction.
·               Ram is a faster work process.	Rom is a slow work process.
·                It is only used to temporary information	It is used to store permanent information and it cannot be deleted information.
·               Ram used electricity to perform to flow to          preserving information.	Rom is not used electricity to perform to flow to preserving information.
·              Ram price high.	Rom price low.
·              Ram is higher physical size than Rom.	Rom is lower physical size than Ram.
·              Ram categorized in 2 types:          SRAM (Statistic RAM)           DRAM (Dynamic RAM)	Rom categorized in 3 types:      PROM(Programmable read only Memory),      EEPROM( Electrical Erasable Programmable Read Only Memory),      EPROM(Erasable Programmable Read Only Memory).
·            Ram is a chip which is inserted         in motherboard.  Its shape is like a rectangle form.	Rom is an optical driver which is made of magnetic tape.

Control Unit

Today we will discuss about control unit in computer. Control unit is a one of the most important component in computer. You can also call a memory of computer. It read and interpreted instruction or detailed in the program one by one. It is decodes each instruction or detailed and turns it into a series of control signals that control all part of that our operating system. Control system in advanced operating system may change the order of some instruction so as to improve performance. A key component is common to all central processing unit is the program counter, a special memory cell that keep track which location in memory the next detailed is to be read form.

Function of control unit is:-
• Control unit never store or process data.
• Control unit coordinate or manage all the unit of the operating system.
• Increment the program counter so its point to the next instruction.
• Control unit provide the necessary data to an ALU.
• If the instruction required an ALU or specialized hardware to complete, instructed the
        hardware to perform the requested the requested operation.
• Control unit decode the numerical code for the detailed into a set of command signal of
         each of the other system.

A computer is an electronic machine which manipulates your data according to a list of instruction. Depending on the logic it uses, a computer is generally thought of two types:

Analog Computer

It is a form of computer that uses electrical, mechanical to model the problem being solved. More generally it uses one kind of physical quantity to represent the behavior of another physical operating system and mathematical function. Modeling a real physical system in a computer is called simulation.

Digital Computer

Digital computers are high-speed, programmable, electronic device that perform mathematical calculation, compare values and store the result.

Personal Computer

It is a computer whose original size, capabilities and sales price make it useful for individuals. It can be categorized by size and portability:
• Desktop Computer
• Laptop or notebooks
• Portable computers
• Tablet computers
• Wearable computers
• Personal digital assistants

Desktop Computer

It is a computer made for use on a desk in an office or home and is distinguished from portable computers such as laptops. Desktop computers are also known as microcomputers. There are four types of desktop computers: Home computers or personal computer; workstations, Internet servers, and special communications computers.

Desktops are currently the most affordable computers and ubiquitous in business, school, editing, and Internet access. Desktop computers come in a variety of case styles ranging from large vertical towers to small form factor models that can be tucked behind an LCD monitor.

How Computer works?

Generally, A Computer has four main sections the arithmetic logic unit (ALU), the control unit the memory, and the input devices and output devices. These parts are interconnected by busses, often made of groups of wires. The control unit, registers, ALU, and basic I/O are collectively known as CPU (central processing unit).

What is Excel Filter And How its Work?

What is filter in MS Excel?
As we know that filter is a process that removes from a single some unwanted component or feature as you want. For example, first create a sheet of data then select the heading of the data.

And go to data tab, in sort & filter group select the data and click on it. When you click on data tab you see you tab header filtering controls are added to the table header automatically.

Where is advance filter option in excel 2003, 2007, 2010?

In Excel 2003 when you open your excel spreadsheet select the data menu tab top of your excel spreadsheet click on it then go to filter option and click on it. When you click you see advanced filter option and click on it and use this option.

In excel 2007, when you open your excel spreadsheet select the data menu tab bottom top of your screen click on it, then go to sort & filter you see advanced option click on it and use this option.

In excel 2010 when you open your excel spreadsheet select the data menu tab bottom top of your screen click on it, then go to sort & filter you see advanced option click on it and use this option.

How to setup your database?

 Here I give some instruction how to setup your database?

1) First row has heading.
2) Each column has a unique heading.
3) Duplicate heading will cause problem when you use advance filter.
4) There are no blanks cells within your data base. If your cell is blank you can’t use advance filter option.

How to use filter option in excel?

Select the range of the data and go to data tab and press filter option you see filtering added to the table header automatically.  Select the any header of the cell and click on it.

How to Use Macro in Excel?

First open Microsoft excel and go to File tab and click on it then go to option menu, when you click option menu you see Excel Option window front on your screen.
In Excel option window go to customize Ribbon and you see customize the ribbon drop down list right on the window, click the drop down list and select the Main tab, when you do the step you see some option with check box. Mark the Developer check box and click OK.Below images show that how to turn on developer tab?

How many ways to record macro in excel 2010?

There are 3 ways to record macro in excel
1) Enable your developer tab.

2) Go to view tab, in this tab you see macro option right on the corner click on it and record your macros.

3) When you click any blank cell you see below of left corner, you see ready displayed on screen click on right mouse button and check the box of macros recording. Below images shows that the following description as above given.

It is the simple process to consolidate our data by using category and label. For example, First create a three sheet and create your data for example see images. Suppose you create Electronic sales data on January, February, March 2016 and you want to consolidate your data of master worksheet.

Above Image shows that 3 different sheet I will show how to consolidate the data in our master worksheet.
First create a new sheet. On this sheet go to data tab, in data tools option you see consolidate option click on it. Go to first sheet and select the range of the data and click on add Button then go to second sheet and select the range of the data and click on add button, Go to third sheet, select the range of the data and click on add button. When you add both sheet which you want to show your data in our master worksheet press ok. Below image shows that what happen when you both sheet are added.
